Labor seeks to outlaw revenge porn

A federal Labor MP wants to outlaw so-called "revenge porn".

Gellibrand MP Tim Watts this week will release a draft bill which would add a new crime of "unsolicited sharing of private intimate images" to the criminal code.

A number of other countries including Israel, Germany, the UK and some US states have already legislated to outlaw the uploading of such material.
