Popular toy pulled from Kmart shelves over safety concerns

A popular children's toy sold at Kmart has been recalled over safety concerns.

The ANKO 75 Piece Wobbly Blocks set was pulled from shelves this week over risk of serious injury or death from choking.

Kmart found the toy may not comply with the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.

The blocks are packaged in a plastic tub which could include small loose fragments of offcuts from the blocks.

If swallowed by children, the fragments pose a risk of serious injury or death from choking.

Kmart is now conducting a voluntary recall of the blocks, which were sold in Kmart stores and online between January 14 and February 13, 2026.

"We take the quality and safety of all our products very seriously," a Kmart spokesperson told nine.com.au

"As a remedy, consumers have a choice of checking inside the tub and play area for any loose plastic offcuts, removing and disposing of them.

"Or they may return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund."

Anyone who has sold or gifted the toys to another person, or who is unable to return it for other reasons, should contact the place of purchase.
