Judah Kelly named victor of The Voice 2017

The Voice contestant Judah Kelly has taken out this year’s top title in a star-studded grand finale featuring an appearance by global superstar Katy Perry.  

Winner Judah Kelly was among three other finalists – Hoseah Partsch, Lucy Sugerman, and Fasika Ayallew – who took to the stage last night in this season’s final showdown. 

The show was kicked off with a performance by Katy Perry and saw the contestants duke it out over a series of duets featuring coaches Boy George, Deltra Goodrem, Seal and Kelly Rowland.

Sugerman and Ayallew were the first to be eliminated from the competition, leaving Kelly, 20, and Partsch, 17, to participate in one final battle.

Kelly’s rendition of his original single Count on Me ultimately proved a favourite, trumping Partsch’s own Paper Panes.

Kelly was mentored by judge Deltra Goodrem, who also mentored last year's winner Alfie Arcuri. Partsch was mentored by Boy George. 

Noah Cyrus – sister to singer Miley Cyrus – also put in an appearance during last night’s show to perform her single I’m Stuck.
