Jonah Hill's failed mile high romance

Wolf of Wall Street star Jonah Hill has spilled the beans on how close, or far, he came from joining the mile high club.

During an appearance on British chat program The Graham Norton Show, 30-year-old Hill told the story of a potential romance that backfired after an embarrassing moment that occurred to him on a passenger jet flight as a teenager.

Hill, then 18, hit it off with an attractive female passenger of a similar age he was sitting next to.

"We started talking and she was like flirting back and she was great and she was laughing and having a great time and I was so on top of the world," Hill said.

But all his work flirting came undone after a poorly-timed visit to the bathroom and a male passenger who ventured into the cubicle before Hill for an extended stay.

"When he finally comes out, I go in and not to be crass but it smelled like someone had passed away (in there)," Hill said. "So I hold my breath, use the bathroom very quickly, I wash my hands, I come out and she's waiting for a restroom."

Unfortunately for Hill he was unable to alert his new female friend to the fact the person prior to him had stunk out the bathroom, quickly foiling any chances for romance.

Hill has been nominated for an Academy Award for an actor in a supporting role for his performance in The Wolf Of Wall Street, which ironically features an orgy taking place in a private jet.
