New data from Seek has revealed the roles that have experienced some of the fastest advertised salary growth between February and April, compared to the same quarter last year.
The mining and construction industry has seen some of the strongest growth.
From 15 to more than 26 per cent, here are the top 10 roles.
10. Assistant for hospitality and tourism
An assistant in the hospitality and tourism sector had their average advertised salary rise by 15.60 per cent to an annual $70,762.
9. Membership consultant for sport and recreation
The average advertised salary for a membership consultant in the sport and recreation sector rose by 16.10 per cent to an annual $68,435.
8. Customer service representative for retail and consumer products
The average advertised salary for a customer service representative in the retail and consumer products sector increased by 16.20 per cent to an annual $64,027.
7. Finisher for trades and services
The average advertised salary for a finisher in the trades and services sector rose by 16.60 per cent to an annual $90,695.
6. Project administrator for construction
The average advertised salary for a project administrator in the construction sector increased by 16.80 per cent to an annual $92,788.
"An increase in building approvals and commencements, which were sitting around decade lows at the beginning of 2024, alongside ongoing infrastructure projects, has likely driven an increase in the competition for project administrators," Seek senior economist Blair Chapman said.
5. Electrical engineer for mining, resources and energy
The average advertised salary for an electrical engineer in the mining, resources and energy sector rose by 18.30 per cent to an annual $165,917.
"The mining sector pays some of the highest wages of any sector and they are increasingly competing with renewable energy providers for roles like electrical engineers, which is likely driving them to offer high wages to keep and attract workers into the sector," Chapman said.
4. Maintenance manager for manufacturing, transport and logistics
The average advertised salary for a maintenance manager in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector soared by 19 per cent to an annual $146,613.
3. Operations analyst for banking and financial services
The average advertised salary for an operations analyst in the banking and financial services sector rose by 21.10 per cent to an annual $98,301.
2. Taxation consultant for accounting
Taxation consultants in the accounting sector saw the second-quickest rise in wages.
The average advertised salary increased by 24.50 per cent to an annual $95,375.
