Roxy Jacenko snaps at 60 Minutes reporter Allison Langdon in fiery interview
Roxy Jacenko has lashed out at Nine reporter Allison Langdon in a heated interview about her breast cancer diagnosis.
The PR queen snapped when it was put to her that “normal people” were questioning the timing of her illness, revealed just weeks after her husband Oliver Curtis was jailed for insider trading.
"My husband is in jail and I'm now a single mother. I don't really give a f--- what they think on my timing," Jacenko replied in the 60 Minutes interview, to be aired on Sunday.
"You've got too much time on your hands if you say that," she added.
"It's normal people out there," Langdon replied.
"Well they're not normal, Alison. Change your friends," Jacenko said.
Jacenko effectively became a single mother to Pixie, four, and Hunter, two when Mr Curtis was jailed for two years in June.
The 36-year-old admitted she had been thrown a curveball by her current situation.
"It's not something I'd ever thought I'd face," she said. "I can't believe I'm actually in this position".
"I sure as hell don't want to let down the children. There is me and only me, so I've got an obligation to all of those people to keep running, in heels."
The 60 Minutes story includes footage from inside an operating theatre as surgeons operated on Jacenko.
