Inquiry into seasonal workers launched
AAP
A parliamentary inquiry will examine ways to expand a Pacific seasonal workers program.
The program, aimed at reducing poverty in the region, brings workers from eight island nations and East Timor to Australia for 14 weeks to six months to work in horticulture and fill skill shortages.
The inquiry will examine if the program should apply to other countries and sectors.
