The husband of TV personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley is in an induced coma in a Sydney hospital after suffering a fall.
John Kennerley fell over a garden hedge while taking photos at a golf resort near Coffs Harbour on Sunday, Fairfax Media reports.
He suffered head and neck injuries, which have been described as "very serious" by Ms Kennerley's manager Sean Anderson.
"He stepped back to lean against a hedge which they thought was against a fence but there wasn't one and he has gone over and landed very hard on his head ... I don't want to go into the specifics but it is very, very serious," Mr Anderson said.
Mr Kennerley was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital and is being treated in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
Ms Kennerley, 62, is said to have been by his side ever since.
The pair were married in 1984 at the Sydney Opera House and have no children.
