Sydney couple's close encounter with a humpback whale off NSW South Coast
Two Sydney divers have had the experience of a lifetime, swimming with a humpback whale off the NSW South Coast.
Trina and Alvin Toh took to the waters off Jervis Bay looking for a glimpse of a migrating whale, but instead were treated to a close encounter with a juvenile humpback.
"This whale kind of just slowly came around and we started screaming," Trina told 9News.

"He did just really playful turns, and spins and spyhops right in between us and kind of just playfully glided around us."
Humpbacks only visit the region for two months a year each winter.
Trina and Alvin's encounter lasted for more than five minutes before the humpback disappeared into the deep.
