A man who gave NSW police the slip while being bundled into a caged truck shackled in handcuffs remains on the run.
Gary Charters, 36, was last seen travelling on foot towards Forbes, in central west NSW, after escaping from custody on Thursday night.

He is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, with a tall solid build and short blond hair.
