Guy Sebastian's former manager Titus Day will remain "free on bail" until his sentencing after he was found guilty of embezzling the pop star's money.

Day's lawyers plan to appeal the conviction.

Day was accused of failing to pay Sebastian almost $900,000 in royalties and performance fees over five years.

He had pleaded not guilty to 47 counts of embezzlement.

Day denied embezzling money from his client and his lawyers argued the police case was flawed and that officers had been seduced by Sebastian's high profile.

On Thursday the jury found Day guilty of 34 charges and not guilty of 13, after a week of deliberations.

The trial went for seven weeks after facing delays including when the judge presiding over the case, Peter Zahra, died.
