Huge groper rams NT fishing boat
A pair of fishermen in the Northern Territory were almost knocked out of their tinny when it was rammed by a giant fish as it frantically swam away from them.
The mates were fishing along a shallow flat near Darwin when they spotted a massive Queensland groper.
The fish was so big its back broke the surface of the water.
"That is f—king huge man," one of the men says.
But the enormous fish was in no mood for hanging around.
As the men closed in on the groper it quickly headed for deeper water, ramming the boat as it swam underneath and almost capsizing it.
The footage was provided to the ABC Radio's Darwin fishing program 'Tales From The Tinny' by Territorian Brad Hinks and posted online yesterday.
