Groovy Perth senior becomes dancing internet sensation

An impromptu dance performance with a busker on a Perth street has turned a 77-year-old woman into an internet sensation.

The woman, known only as Gail, proved that age is no barrier when it comes to having fun, contributing to busker Andrew Cousins’ musical performance with her own boogey, a display that was filmed and put online.

“She’s just out on the street just enjoying her life. It’s awesome,” Cousins told 9NEWS.

Gail’s carer Donna Rogers said she couldn’t believe how much attention the video has received.

“It brings tears to my eyes, she was so happy and she has been dancing ever since,” Ms Rogers said.

The video has been viewed more than 250,000 times since it was uploaded a week ago.
