Greens candidate to run across electorate

Greens candidate Jen Brown is taking literally her bid to run for federal parliament by planning a jog around the Tasmanian electorate she hopes to secure.

The mother-of-two has mapped a course of almost 40km across the Hobart division of Denison, currently held by independent Andrew Wilkie, which she plans to complete on Saturday to physically demonstrate her determination to take action on climate change.

"The old parties in this election, funded by donations from fossil fuel industries, don't want to talk about climate change so it's time for Hobart to get innovative about how we get the message across," Ms Brown said.
