Government shakes up Work for the Dole scheme
The Abbott Government is set to announce sweeping changes to the Work for the Dole scheme.
The changes mean that for six months each year those under 30 years old will have to work 24 hours per week for their payments.
Job seekers between the ages of 30 and 49 will only be required to work 15 hours per week, while those in their 50s will be required to volunteer, train or participate in Work for the Dole for 15 hours per week.
