Driver killed in three-car crash at Golden Grove

Police are investigating if a driver involved in a fatal crash in Adelaide this afternoon was involved in another hit-and-run crash moments beforehand.

A Blair Athol woman, 32, died after her grey Hyundai was crushed between a red Ford Territory and a Corolla just after midday at the intersection of Atlantis Drive and The Grove Way in Golden Grove.

By chance, a police car was stopped at the lights and witnessed the crash.

Officers are now investigating if the red Ford Territory was involved in a rear-ender hit-and-run crash on The Grove Way a short time before the fatal crash.

"The driver of the Ford, a 61-year-old Hillbank man, was conveyed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries," Police said in a statement.

"The driver of the Corolla, a 42-year-old Golden Grove woman, was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

A witness told 9News the Ford driver was "screaming and shouting when they got him out of his car".

"You feel sorry.. probably on the way to do some shopping and bang you don't know, do you? One minute you're OK and next you're not," the witness said.

The woman's death is the 15th on South Australian roads this year.
