Attempted murder charge after alleged Gold Coast hinterland shooting
A 57-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting on the Gold Coast hinterland last week.
The shooting sparked an emergency declaration with police rushing to Tallebudgera Creek Road at Tallebudgera Valley about 12pm on February 6.
The 59-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his shoulder and head and was taken to the Gold Coast University for treatment.

Police had been searching for a 57-year-old man for the past three days and was found allegedly hiding inside a shed in bushland about 10.15am yesterday.
He was taken into custody and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have since charged the man with several offences including attempted murder and unlawfully possessing weapons.
The man remains in hospital receiving treatment.
He is expected to appear before Southport Magistrates Court today.
