Pedestrian fighting for life after medical episode
A man is fighting for life after a medical episode on the Gold Coast.
Queensland Police were called to the intersection of Stanhill and Thomas Drives on Chevron Island around 5am after reports of the man suffering a severe head injury.
Passersby raised the alarm, with witnesses telling police the man was wearing a helmet at the time.

Paramedics rushed the man to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Previous reports suggested the man was the victim of a hit and run, but police have confirmed there was no car in CCTV they had seen.
The footage showed police the man fell and hit his head.
