Love is in the air: Gold Coast's unique sky ribbon art installation

A one-of-a-kind art installation is set to grace the skies of the Gold Coast

Residents and visitors are encouraged to contribute to the 'Sky Ribbon' artwork by signing ribbons with the reason they love the Gold Coast.

The 10,000 ribbons will be woven into an artwork.

The installation will stretch from the outdoor stage of HOTA.

The ribbons are available at community hubs, schools, libraries, and pop-up centres across the coast.

"We would love everybody, young, old, new arrivals, people who've lived here for their whole lives, to contribute to this artwork," said Yarmilla Alfonzetti from Experience Gold Coast.

The project's timeline is limited, with only two weeks remaining for residents to pen their love letters to the Gold Coast.
