'I have not done anything wrong': Gladys Berejiklian grilled again over ICAC bombshell and relationship

A defiant Gladys Berejiklian has again insisted she did nothing wrong during her relationship with former MP Daryl Maguire.

Mr Maguire is the subject of an ICAC investigation that Ms Berejiklian gave evidence to yesterday. He is accused of using his position for financial gain.

The premier was grilled again today over whether she knew about his alleged corruption, and if she did, why did she not report it.

"Had I known any wrongdoing was done at any stage I would have not have hesitated to act and I have acted very swiftly when I needed to and I am the first to put up my hand and admit but I haven't done anything wrong," Ms Berejiklian said at a press conference this afternoon.

"At all times I have maintained a distinction between my personal and private life and the public office I hold.

"I will not tolerate, never have, and never will, any improper conduct by any MP."

Facing more questions on whether she knew of Mr Maguire's alleged wrongdoing, Ms Berejiklian repeated the ICAC investigation is still underway.

"I remain firm in my absolute resolve. If I was aware of any wrongdoing I would have reported it," the premier said.

"Can I say this: He approached a number of people. And I'm sure if any of them were aware of wrongdoing a number of other colleagues, a number of public servants were approached by him and unfortunately you take people at face value and trust them.

"This person had been in parliament for 15 years. And unfortunately sometimes people are able to get away with things without a lot of people realising."

The premier said she has made "horrible mistakes in my personal and private life" but repeated she would not stand down or aside.
