Man dead after being hit by oversized truck in Geelong

A man has died after being struck by a truck in Geelong this morning.

Authorities said the collision occurred just after 7.20am on the Geelong Ring Road, near the Broderick Road overpass.

The man, who has yet to be identified, died at the scene.

The Geelong Ring Road is closed to city-bound traffic, with vehicles being diverted onto Bacchus Marsh Road.

Police are now preparing a report for the Coroner.
