Gang arrests in cocaine syndicate probe

A third man linked to Sydney's crumbling Assyrian crime gang DLSTHR (The Last Hour) has been charged over an alleged cocaine racket.

Agassi Shimon became the latest man to be arrested as part of a Middle Eastern Organised Crime squad probe into cocaine supply based out of southwest Sydney.

According to court documents, police raided Shimon's home, which he shared with his parents, at Greenfield Park on Thursday.

Officers seized cannabis, steroids and mobile phones.

However the 21-year-old was later charged with supplying 337 grams of cocaine between January and March this year.

Police will allege Shimon was working for Danny Hurmz and Phelmon Shemoon, who are accused of running the cocaine supply syndicate.

Shimon applied for bail in Fairfield Local Court on Friday but a magistrate found he was an unacceptable risk if released and kept him behind bars.

He is also charged with participating in a criminal group.

Court documents state Shimon is affiliated with DLASTHR and while he doesn't have a history of violence, his family home has been targeted by shootings.

He is due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on June 11.

Hurmuz, 33, was arrested last week and is facing large commercial drug supply and directing the activities of a criminal group charges.

Shemoon is charged with the same offences.

Both men will appear in Liverpool Local Court next month.

The three arrests come after police last month claimed it had shut down the notorious Sydney gang.

A series of raids in Fairfield and Green Valley led to the arrest of three other men and massive drug seizures.
