SPOILER ALERT: Game of Thrones season five finale leaves fans shocked

A spoiler alert for all Game of Thrones fans – look away from your computer screen if you do not want to learn which popular character dies at the end of the current season.

A teaser trailer for the season finale was leaked on a German website that reveals one of the shows biggest loses in GOT history.

This is your last chance to avoid spoilers below!

The video teases the plots that will be revisited in the final episode however, it does not reveal the fate of beloved character Jon Snow.

Kit Harrington, who plays Snow, revealed on Entertainment Weekly that his character will “not be coming back next season”.

Yet, in the final chapter of George R. R. Martin’s 2011 novel A Dance with Dragons, Snow was seemingly killed by Night’s Watch brothers.

When Entertainment Weekly asked Martin point blank if Snow is firmly gone he teased:

“Oh, you think he’s dead, do you? I’m not going to address whether he’d dead or not.”

So perhaps Jon Snow fans can hold out then?

The season five finale encore airs at 7.30pm tonight on Showcase on Foxtel.
