Plane flips on its head during landing on French Island, Victoria
A plane has flipped on its head during landing on French island, south-east of Melbourne, injuring a man in his sixties.
The plane took off from nearby Toorabin Airport on Saturday afternoon and was in the air for nine minutes before it landed and flipped on French Island just before 2:30pm.
A man in his sixties was injured in the incident, suffering cuts to his legs, but he remains in a stable condition and has been flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Authorities are still investigating how the plane flipped Nine
One other passenger and the pilot were on board, but Victoria Ambulance has not reported any further injuries from the accident.
Authorities are still investigating how the plane flipped. Victoria Police told 9News the "exact cause is not known at this stage", but early investigations suggest that a landing gear in the undercarriage collapsed.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will conduct a full investigation into how the incident occurred.
