Free whooping cough meds announced in Tas

Pregnant women in Tasmania will able to get free whooping cough medicine from June 1.
The state government will provide the vaccination for pregnant women in their third trimester following evidence revealing the ideal time to vaccinate is between weeks 28 and 32 of pregnancy.
Women can obtain the vaccine from their GP and from councils that provide adult vaccinations.
