Food distribution wholesaler in Sydney's inner-west sparks concern after delivery drivers tests positive
A COVID-19 outbreak at a food distribution wholesaler in Sydney's inner-west has authorities on edge after it was revealed a number of staff members have tested positive.
Two staff members at Great Ocean Foods in Marrickville have so far tested positive for the virus, while several are believed to have visited the site without checking in, Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said.
"We are mopping up a train of transmission," she said.

"There have been a number of people that have been infectious in the community unknowingly for a period of time and those individuals could have then already... infected their families.
"That is the reason for the escalation in concern."
Dr Chant said that the business is largely a wholesaler, but every day "about five or so people do go directly and purchase food" from the facility.
"So from Monday 21st to Friday 25th, we are asking all staff and anyone who attended that premise (to get tested)," she said.

Anyone who directly received a delivery from Great Ocean Foods from Monday June 21 to Friday June 21 and their household contacts must immediately get tested and isolate until further advice is provided by NSW Health.
"There were also delivery drivers associated… that have become infectious at the Great Ocean Foods," Dr Chant added.
"What we want people to do is anyone who received a delivery from Great Ocean Foods from Monday 21st to Friday 25th June - that person, plus their household members must immediately isolate and get tested."
