Man dead after car hits two pedestrians in Queensland town
A man has been killed and another is fighting for his life after being struck in Mount Isa in northern Queensland overnight.
Police say a car heading south on Camooweal Street at about 9.55pm collided with two pedestrians.
A 27-year-old Northern Territory man died at the scene.

A 29-year-old Northern Territory man remains in hospital in critical condition.
The car allegedly left the scene, and police are urging the driver to contact them.
At 12.30am, police seized the car believed to be involved in the incident at a Townview address.
