Executives leave immigration department
AAP
More than a dozen executives at the immigration department have left since Michael Pezzullo was appointed its boss eight months ago.
Mr Pezzullo confirmed he was running a performance management process and some executives had resigned or transferred to other departments.
He told a Senate estimates hearing on Monday that some people had made the decision to move after many years of service because they were not comfortable working for an agency that would soon have an armed border force component.
