Missing teen found safe and well in Queensland floods

Queensland Police have found an 18-year-old safe and well after he went missing from Logan Reserve on Sunday, March 9.

The teenager was last seen at a property on Burdekin Road around 11 pm, less than 48 hours after ex-cyclone Alfred swept through the region.

Police and carers were concerned for his welfare as he has a medical condition.

A search and rescue operation was underway in Logan on Monday morning.

It was called off when he was found safe and well.

Police thanked the community and media for their assistance.

Multiple weather warnings are currently in effect in Logan in the wake of ex-cyclone Alfred, including two dangerous flood warnings issued early on Monday morning.

Logan has also recorded almost 100 power outages due to damage from the ex-tropical cyclone.
