Woman charged after crashing into another car while allegedly over the limit, injuring young boy
A woman has been charged after crashing into another car and critically injuring a young boy while allegedly three times over the limit on the NSW Central Coast.
A Toyota sedan and Lexus SUV reportedly collided at the intersection of Mort Street and George Evans Road in Killarney Vale about 12.45pm yesterday.
Paramedics treated the 42-year-old woman driving the sedan at the scene for minor injuries but the eight-year-old boy who was a passenger in the car suffered serious head injuries.

He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition for treatment.
The 51-year-old female SUV driver underwent a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.
She was taken back to Gosford Police Station where she underwent another breath test which allegedly returned a reading of 0.197 - more than triple the legal limit.

The 51-year-old was charged with a range of driving offences and had her licence suspended.
She was refused bail to face court today.
