Two charged over alleged carjacking in Sydney

Two people have been charged after an alleged carjacking and attempted carjacking in Sydney's west last month.

At about 11.10pm on December 6, a 20-year-old woman was driving in Bossley Park when she braked at an intersection.

It's alleged a man came up and tried to open the driver's side door. He failed and ran off as the woman drove away.

About 15 minutes later, a 29-year-old man stopped at the same intersection.

This time, two men came to his door and demanded he get out.

Police allege when he refused to get out of his Mazda 3 sedan, one of the men opened the passenger door and threatened him with a gun.

The driver got out, and the two men got in the car and drove away.

The 29-year-old man managed to flag down another car and called police.

Following inquiries, police arrested an 18-year-old man during a vehicle stop in South Windsor at 1pm yesterday.

Investigators also raided three properties in Bossley Park, Edensor Park, and Doonside, where officers found and seized a vehicle and electronic devices.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the Doonside property.

Both the 18-year-old and the 17-year-old were charged over the incidents.

Both were refused bail and will appear in court today.

Investigations are continuing.
