A 77-year-old woman has been handed a four-year suspended jail term for running down and killing a pregnant mother at a Brisbane festival.

Kerryn Blucher, 33, was 35 weeks pregnant when she was struck by a car and killed at the Redland Spring Festival at the Cleveland Showgrounds on September 8, 2012.

The Crestmead woman left behind her husband, Vaughan, and two-year-old daughter, Kiara.

Clare Hansson appeared in the Brisbane District Court on Tuesday, where she pleaded guilty to one charge of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, a court official told AAP.

She was sentenced to four years jail, wholly suspended.

Hansson was also disqualified from driving for the rest of her life.

Police alleged Hansson lost control of her car and ploughed into Mrs Blucher.
