Police found a car mounted on a barrier in Homebush West. (9NEWS) 

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after police found him standing beside a car wedged on a concrete barrier in a Sydney street last night. 

Police were called to reports of a car with two of its wheels stuck on a barrier on the Railway Bridge overpass on Richmond Road, Homebush West.

The car's alleged 28-year-old driver was standing next to it when police arrived. 

He was arrested at the scene and allegedly returned a breath test reading of 0.150. 

His licence has been suspended and he will appear in court next month on high range drink driving charges.
