Video shows Brisbane man being pinned to ground in dramatic arrest

A man has been pinned to the ground by police following a dramatic highway chase through Ipswich, south-west of Brisbane. 

Police body cam vision captured the pursuit yesterday night, after officers were trying to intercept a stolen car. 

Officers allege the driver failed to stop, forcing them to deploy tyre spikes. They then followed the car for several kilometres, before it eventually veered off the road and rolled onto its side. 

Emerging from their patrol car, officers can be heard yelling "Get on the ground. Get the key, get the key", before handcuffing the driver on the side of the road. 

A 35-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences including the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed and failing to stop. 

He will face an Ipswich court on Monday.
