Perth man offers brief apology to family of stolen puppy
A 29-year-old Perth man has pleaded guilty over the theft of a pet puppy that lead to its owners offering a $20,000 reward.
Mark James Dunks also admitted to possessing dog poo collection bags found after the theft in Swanbourne on March 29.
The theft of the 10-week-old spoodle, called Teddy, went viral after the owners shared security vision of the incident on social media.

Teddy was found by police in good condition a week later at a property in Armadale, after the owners received a tip off.
Mr Dunks briefly apologised to the family after his latest court appearance, but told reporters if he felt bad, he wouldn't have done it in the first place.
"I’m not saying I’m not sorry but how can I be sorry for something I’ve done?" he said
"Glad they got Teddy back and all the best with their pup."
Dunks' lawyer said the offence was serious and had been distressing for the owners.

Dunks has been released on bail and will be sentenced next month.
