#DickPoop hashtag goes viral after Oscars nomination gaffe
Nominations for this year's Oscars produced a few surprises but none more so than the gaffe that spawned the trending hashtag "#DickPoop".
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs was announcing the nominees for the Best Cinematography award when she accidentally referred to Mr Turner hopeful Richard Pope as "Dick Poop".
Ms Boone Isaacs quickly corrected herself but the gaffe did not go unnoticed with the hashtag #DickPoop immediately flying up Twitter's trending chart.
The mispronunciation is not the first to go viral in Oscars history. At last year's awards ceremony John Travolta completely mangled singer Idina Menzel's name calling her "Adele Nazeem" as he introduced her performance of the song 'Let It Go'.
