Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reach divorce settlement: reports

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have reached a divorce settlement, with Heard also dropping her domestic violence restraining order petition against Depp.

The pair filed court documents overnight which said Heard had withdrawn her request for a restraining order, according to TMZ.

This means the divorce was also settled because the two cases were tied up with one another.

It's understood Depp paid Heard a settlement of AUD $9m.

TMZ reports the pair released a statement which read:

"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love."

"Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains."

"There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm."   

"Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."
