Sydney Metro returns to normal frequency after power line issue
Delays have eased on the Sydney Metro network this evening after power issues with a train at Barangaroo Station.
A Sydney Metro spokesperson said there was an issue with the pantograph, which collects power for the train by connecting to the overhead power lines.
By 7pm, all the Metro services between Sydenham and Barangaroo were operating as normal.

"Sydney Metro services are returning to normal frequency following a train requiring mechanical repairs at Barangaroo earlier," Transport for NSW said.
"Passengers should continue to listen to announcements and check information displays for the latest service updates."
Earlier, trains on the line between Barangaroo and Tallawong were running in a loop and a shuttle service was operating between Barangaroo and Sydenham on the southern part of the line.
Some passengers were left stranded on a train at Barangaroo station for 20 minutes before the doors were opened automatically.
Trains on the Sydney network were brought to a standstill last week after another overhead power line issue.
