Former Nine CEO David Gyngell is recovering after suffering a heart attack on a Byron Bay beach.
Mr Gyngell, 54, was training last week when he experienced chest pain.

He returned home but later attended hospital, where tests revealed he had suffered a heart attack.
Mr Gyngell underwent surgery to have stents inserted and has since returned home.
Mr Gyngell had two stints running Nine and resigned in 2015 after eight years at the helm.
A Nine spokesperson said the company wishes Mr Gyngell a speedy recovery and sent their thoughts to his wife, Channel 9 presenter Leila McKinnon, and the couple's two children.
