Damaging thunderstorms set to hit WA’s Midwest Gascoyne and Goldfields Midlands regions

Damaging thunderstorms are set to hit parts of Western Australia, with meteorologists warning of violent winds, large hail and heavy rain.

The emergency warning is in place for Cape Leeuwin to Dwellingup to Mullewa to Mount Magnet to Mount Jackson to Lake King to Albany and back along the coast to Cape Leeuwin.

While the weather is not unusual for this time of year, residents are being warned to get ready for the wild and potentially destructive weather.
