Wallaby swept up in deluge after ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred
A wallaby has been spotted caught up in flooding in Brisbane after ex-Cyclone Alfred.
River levels rose across the city after Tropical Cyclone Alfred smashed into Australia's eastern coast.
Neil Parker and his daughter Alexa were walking in Tillack Park in Mansfield when they spotted a head poking from the water in Bulimba Creek.

"The creek was raging and overflown, blocking off the pathway up ahead so we stopped and watched the crazy river. That's when I noticed this head in the water and pointed it out quickly to my daughter Alexa," Parker told CNN.
"We both initially thought it was a dog that had fallen in but quickly realised it was actually a wallaby (even though I yelled out kangaroo)," he added.

They followed it downstream and found it waterlogged but safe on the creek bank.
"When I turned back, I saw it hopping off up the road," Parker said.
Anyone who finds injured wildlife is being told to contact their local wildlife rescue organisation.
Byron Bay Wildlife Rescue said on Facebook: "If safe, use a clean towel to gently wrap the animal, covering its head and limbs. Place them in a ventilated box or pet carrier in a warm, quiet space. Keep pets and children away. Call your local wildlife rescue group for advice."
