Coroner to release bodies of siege victims tonight

The bodies of this week's Martin Place cafe siege victims will be released to their families tonight.
The NSW coroner is set to hand over the bodies of Tori Johnson and Katrina Dawson at 7pm.
"The State Coroner's team has been working closely with the families over the last few days and they have already been informed the bodies will be ready for release this evening," the NSW Coroners Court said in a statement released this afternoon.
Police are still piecing together the chain events that lead up to the death of Johnson, Dawson and gunman Man Haron Monis in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The investigation is being carried out by the police Professional Standards unit.
An autopsy on Monis is expected to be conducted by the end of the week.
