Prisons across NSW in lockdown, inmates isolated in cells

Prisons across NSW are now in lockdown amid rising COVID-19 case numbers in various jails.
Recreation and mingling in the prison yard are now off limits and inmates are isolated in their cells.
Parklea Correctional Centre has recorded 31 cases, while eight officers have been infected at Bathurst.

Silverwater Prison is operating as an isolation hub, but there are no known cases there yet.
All prisons have fast-tracked rapid antigen testing for staff and inmates.
There were a record 1290 coronavirus cases in NSW today, and four people died.
