COVID-19 vaccination eligibility extended to NDIS participants and carers
Australia's COVID-19 vaccine rollout has been expanded to include some participants and carers of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
From tomorrow, NDIS participants aged 16 and over and carers aged 16 and over are eligible to receive the coronavirus jab.
NDIS and Government Services Minister Senator Linda Reynolds said National Cabinet greenlit the extension on Friday.

"National Cabinet has refined the national vaccination rollout plan to maximise opportunities for Australians to be vaccinated over the second half of the year, in line with increased supply," Ms Reynolds said in a statement.
She labelled the move as "a very important step".
As of June 6, more than 40,000 NDIS participants received at least one dose of the vaccine. This is an increase of 16 per cent, or about 9200 participants since 25 May this year.
NDIS participants can find a vaccination site using the Department of Health's eligibility checker.
