Finance Minister Mathias Cormann is grateful Treasurer Scott Morrison agreed to deliver the mid-year budget update in Perth so he can be near his expectant wife.
The ministers hand down the mid-year economic and fiscal outlook - traditionally released in Canberra - in the West Australian capital later on Tuesday.
"I'm certainly very grateful to my good friend and colleague the Treasurer Scott Morrison ... and I'm very grateful to the media for having accepted (the) arrangement," he told ABC TV.
