Child star Corey Feldman charged for drug possession
Former child star Corey Feldman has been hit with drug charges after his tour bus was pulled over by police.
The 46-year-old’s bus was pulled over for speeding in the US state of Louisiana, and police allegedly found he was driving with a suspended licence, KNOE reports.
Police said a search of the bus then revealed marijuana and prescription pills.
Feldman has been charged with misdemeanour possession of marijuana, speeding and driving with a suspended licence.
The former child star, who is famous for his roles in The Goonies and The Lost Boys was required to pay a fine before being released.
He took Twitter saying the traffic stop was “a bit of a good ol shakedown” and that the officers asked for autographs after he paid the fine.
Feldman was due to perform a show at nearby Live Oaks and Ballroom, but the venue confirmed it has been cancelled.
The arrest comes just days after he spoke out against sexual abusers in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
