Controlled explosions to continue as police clear Brisbane home of dangerous chemicals

Police have warned residents of a Brisbane suburb to expect further controlled explosions today as work continues to clear a stockpile of volatile chemicals found at a Pullenvale property yesterday.
The chemicals, which could be used to create explosives, were discovered by a real estate agent on Wednesday, sparking a police operation to clear the property.
A man and woman living at the site on Red Cedar Road apparently fled Queensland last month, however the male was later arrested interstate on unrelated matters.
It is alleged that he used the stolen identification of a Navy diver to purchase the volatile chemicals found at the Pullenvale property.
Queensland police said they did not have any indications the chemicals were part of a terrorist plot, but claimed that the man who purchased them had “considerable skill” with explosives.
