Commonwealth Bank customers are currently unable to access all of the bank's services after a technical outage brought down the bank's merchant terminals and digital banking services.

Customers reported being unable to access the Commbank app, while the bank itself confirmed that some merchant terminals run by CBA are currently down.

"We're aware some of you are experiencing difficulties accessing our services and we're urgently investigating. We apologise and thanks for your patience, we'll provide an update soon," CommBank informed customers about 1.20pm.

At this stage it appears no other Australian banks are affected by the outage.
