Sugar crash: Chocolate tanker spill creates sticky mess on highway
9NEWS
Made from the stuff of Willy Wonka’s dreams, a highway in Poland has been covered in chocolate following a tanker crash.
Drivers were caught in the sticky mess after the tanker carrying 12 tons of the liquid goodness collided with a traffic barrier, overturned and spilt milk chocolate onto the road.
All four lanes of the highway connecting the city of Poznan to Warsaw were covered by the brown goo, which quickly became hard like ‘rocky road’ in the spring heat.

The driver suffered a broken arm and was later taken to hospital.
While, no one else was injured during the incident, the brown sugary river is said to have robbed one local journalist of his shoe.
