Moment reversing car knocks cyclist from bike

A car reversed into the path of a cyclist in Melbourne, knocking the rider from his bike.

Video from a nearby surveillance camera captured the ordeal in Brunswick on Tuesday this week.

The driver of the SUV can be seen coming to a halt before reversing into the cyclist.

The rider swerves to avoid the car but is struck and knocked from his bike.

Luckily, the unidentified rider was not injured.

No charges were laid.
